Been nursing my growing interest in Poi for the past few months now. Yes. I’m still a complete newbie with a VERY limited set of Poi skills, but I’ve found a really awesome online archive of tutorials from this guy called Nick Woosley available at Playpoi.com. His video tutorials are a real eye-opener and he just makes Poi so much for fun and easy to learn!
So, I spent the weekend at Sentosa re-igniting my love for this wonderful art when I got to play with a pair of fire Pois! My first experience is hard to describe, but it was definitely a mix of awe, fear and amazement. Just the whirling sound of the Pois were enough to send shivers down the back of my spine. Whoolooloo!
